This complex of eleven separate residence halls houses 336 students in six-person suites. The separate buildings were planned to accommodate the steep hillside with minimum excavation. They also create neighborhoods which allow the students to assign identities to each house, such as the “French house” or the “non-smokers’ house.”

Each house has individual, high efficiency boilers and domestic water services. Each room and the attic spaces are fully sprinklered, and the entire site is backed up with a generator that has the capability to back-feed the other buildings on the campus’ high voltage loop. All walkways and stairs have snow-melt systems, preventing the build-up of snow and ice on pedestrian pathways during the winter months.
